The well-kept car of Lenny´s father should be today an expencive Oldtimer, an american dream with torque and dynamic (Picture left). There´s a map explained in the grey box rightside.

At the next picture (Down in the center) you have a view on Lenny in leisurewear. It was in autumn 1978, in the days arround Helloween, when my wife and me visitted him and his little family with the little daughters Claudia and Nicole in Bad Kissingen, were he was stationed by the armed forces in Hammelburg. The photo was taken Sunday on the misty Gradierwerk in Bad Kissingen after a tremendous night, driving throughout snow and icerain. Also sunday by the Gradierwerk the periphery was completely enveloped in thick ice. On the same day Bettina fried "Arme Ritter", really delicate!

In Oktober 11th of 1997:

Our uncle in law abducted young lady Bettina to North Carolina. In the next picture they are dancing light hearted in Oktober11th 1997 at the wedding from Lenny´s nephew named Leonard and called also Lenny.

Little historic Prolog:

After the WW II the worldorder in Germany changed and the boot was on the other leg. But within the 60ies the world was fundamental different from today and now. In the first months after the war for example the non-fraternization with the Krauts was announced, but quickly it took a powder, early in Oktober of 1945. The GI´s kept an eye on the popular "German Fräuleins" and therefore Lenny is our "American Uncle in Law". Indeed the official document (left, above) takes evidence. We have a look at that times with a twinkle in the eye, cause the protest-, peace- and love Generation, the fall of the wall and the reunification, millenium and Euro seems the world goes round quicker.

In Uniform:

At this picture, Lenny is dressed in uniform rank LTC, Lieutnant Colonel. He weares among others the little silver oakleafe.

North Carolina:

His last fight he was losing on July 10th of 2007 against multiple cancer carcinoms. He rest in pease at Sandhills State Veterans Cementary

Lenny was an American in the core and his aditude correlated the proclamation of John F. Kennedy - "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."

A glossary as an Epilog:

1.) VC Viet Cong 2)WW II - Worldwar 2nd. 3.) Krauts - Germans, we know it also today, current example musik, Krautrock. 4.) GI´s - Soldier, comes from Galvanized Iron (tin) 5.) German Fräuleins - young, not married german femails. Today you can not use Fräulein, cause black looks would kill you immediately. 6.) And by the way, Arme Ritter are not related with poor knights, they are stale sheets of whitebred, soaked with sugar Milk and fried in eggs, mutant to a meatless, delicate dinner.
